This tutorial will provide step-by-step instructions on how to install osTicket on Windows 10.
Firstly, visit the osTicket download page at https://osticket.com/download/. From here, select the appropriate version of osTicket and click the Download button.
Once the download has completed, locate the downloaded file on your Windows 10 machine.
Before installing osTicket, it is essential to have a web server software installed on your Windows 10 machine. There are several web server software that can be used, but the most popular ones are XAMPP, WAMP, and LAMP.
In this tutorial, we will use XAMPP as our web server software.
Visit the XAMPP website at https://www.apachefriends.org/index.html and download the latest version of XAMPP for Windows.
Once the download has completed, double-click the downloaded file and follow the on-screen prompts to install XAMPP on your Windows 10 machine.
Once XAMPP is installed, it needs to be configured to run osTicket.
Open the XAMPP control panel and start the Apache and MySQL services.

This will open the phpMyAdmin dashboard that will allow us to create a new database for osTicket.
Click the Databases tab and create a new database named 'osticket'.

The osTicket installer will start.
On the first screen, select the language and click on the Continue button.
On the next screen, osTicket will check if your system is ready for the installation. If everything is good, click the Continue button.
Now you will need to enter the database details. The following configuration is needed:
Click on the Install Now button to start the installation.
Once the installation is complete, you will be prompted to create an administrator account.
After finalizing the administrator account, click on the Finish Installation button to complete the osTicket installation.
Congratulations! You have now successfully installed osTicket on your Windows 10 machine. You can now start managing customer support tickets through this powerful tool.
