In the Akaunting directory, create a copy of the .env.example file and name it .env.

$ cp .env.example .env

Open the .env file in a text editor and enter your database credentials.

DB_CONNECTION=mysql
DB_HOST=127.0.0.1
DB_PORT=3306
DB_DATABASE=database_name
DB_USERNAME=database_user

Save and close the .env file.

If you want to self-host in an easy, hands free way, need an external IP address, or simply want your data in your own hands, give IPv6.rs a try!

Alternatively, for the best virtual desktop, try Shells!
