BTCPay Server is a free and open-source Bitcoin payment processor that allows merchants to accept payments in Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. In this tutorial, we will guide you on how to install BTCPay Server on Windows 11 operating system.
Open a web browser and go to https://btcpayserver.org/ to download the latest version of BTCPay Server for windows.
Once the download is complete, locate the downloaded file and double-click on it to run the installation wizard.
On the first screen, click on the "Next" button to proceed with the installation.
Read the license agreement, then accept the terms and click the "Next" button.
Choose the destination folder to install BTCPay Server or use the default location, then click on the "Next" button.
Configure the options for the BTCPayServer, if required, and click the install button.
After the installation is complete, launch the BTCPayServer.
Open PowerShell, and run the following command:
cd C:\Program Files\btcpayserver\BtcPayServer
Once you are in the installation directory, run the following command to start BTCPay Server:
.\run.sh
Wait for BTCPay Server to start, and then open your web browser and navigate to "http://localhost:49392/".
You will see a login screen. Enter your username and password, and click on the "Log in" button.
Congratulations! You have successfully installed and logged in to BTCPay Server.
