In this tutorial, we will walk you through the steps needed to install Focalboard on Windows 11.
You will need to have the following software installed on your computer before we can start:
Open your internet browser and go to the Focalboard website at https://www.focalboard.com/.
Click on the "Download" button located on the homepage. This will take you to the download page.
On the download page, you will see two options: "Download Focalboard Server" and "Download Focalboard Desktop". Since we are installing Focalboard on our Windows 11 PC, we will choose the "Download Focalboard Desktop" option.
Click on the "Download Focalboard Desktop" button. The installation file will begin downloading.
Once the file has finished downloading, locate the installation file on your computer. The default location for downloaded files is the "Downloads" folder.
Double-click on the installation file to start the installation process.
You will be asked to choose the installation location for Focalboard. If you are fine with the default location, click on the "Install" button. If you want to choose a different installation location, click on "Customize" and choose your preferred location.
Wait for the installation process to complete. This may take a few minutes.
Once the installation is complete, click on the "Finish" button.
Focalboard is now installed on your Windows 11 PC. You can launch it from the Start menu by searching for "Focalboard".
Congratulations! You have successfully installed Focalboard on your Windows 11 PC.
