Prerequisites

- Apache Tomcat server.
- KairosDB binaries.

Step 1 - Install Java JDK
- Go to the official website of Oracle Java SE Development Kit and download the latest version available.
- Follow the installation instructions to install the JDK on your Windows 11 machine.
Step 2 - Install Apache Tomcat server
- Go to the official website of Apache Tomcat server and download the latest version available.
- Extract the downloaded file to a location of your choice.
- Set up environment variables for the Tomcat server directory.
Step 3 - Install KairosDB
- Go to the official KairosDB Github repository and download the latest version available.
- Extract the downloaded file to a location of your choice.
- Now open the extracted folder and navigate to the bin folder inside it. You will find a file named "kairosdb.bat".
- Double-click on the "kairosdb.bat" file to start the KairosDB server.
Step 4 - Configure KairosDB
- Open a web browser window and make sure that the Apache Tomcat server is running.
- Navigate to http://localhost:8080/manager/html on the web browser.
- Click on the Add button located in the upper-right corner of the screen.
- Fill in the required details like Name and URL to the required fields.
- Click on the OK button to finish the configuration.
Step 5 - Verify KairosDB Installation
- Open a web browser window and navigate to http://localhost:8080/kairosdb/.
- Click on the Status menu option located at the top of the page.
- You should see a status report indicating that the KairosDB server is running and configured properly.
