Prerequisites
- Windows 11 Operating System
- XAMPP web server installed
- PHP 7.2 or later installed
Installation Steps
Step 1: Download Kanboard
- Go to the Kanboard website and navigate to the download page.
- Click on the "Download" button to start downloading the latest stable version of Kanboard.
Step 2: Extract Kanboard Files
- Once the download is complete, navigate to the folder where the Kanboard zip file was downloaded.
- Right-click on the zip file and select "Extract All" to extract the files.
- Choose the destination folder where you want to extract the files and click "Extract" to begin the extraction process.
Step 3: Move Kanboard Files to XAMPP Web Server
- Navigate to the folder where XAMPP was installed.
- In the folder hierarchy, open the "htdocs" folder. This is where all the website files are stored.
- Move the extracted Kanboard files to the "htdocs" folder.
Step 4: Create Kanboard Database
- Open your web browser and navigate to
http://localhost/phpmyadmin/.
- Login to your PHPMyAdmin account with your login credentials.
- Click on the "Databases" tab and create a new database for Kanboard.
- In the "Create database" section, give your database a name and select the "utf8_general_ci" collation.
- Click on "Create" to create the database.
Step 5: Configure Kanboard
- In your web browser, navigate to
http://localhost/kanboard/ to access the Kanboard installation page.
- Choose your preferred language and click "Continue".
- Fill in the installation form with your database details, including the database name, username, password, and server.
- Click "Continue" and wait for the installation to complete.
- Once the installation is complete, create a new admin user account and log into Kanboard.
