Kavita is a free and open-source ebook reader for Windows, MacOS, and Linux. It is designed to be simple, lightweight, and customizable. In this tutorial, we will be installing Kavita on Windows 11.
Before we begin, make sure your Windows 11 machine meets the following requirements:
Open your preferred web browser and navigate to the Kavita website at https://www.kavitareader.com/.
Click on the "Download" button on the homepage. You will be redirected to the download page.
Choose the Windows version of Kavita that you want to download. You can choose between the 32-bit and 64-bit versions.
Once the download is complete, navigate to the location of the downloaded Kavita setup file.
Double-click on the Kavita setup file. You will be prompted with a "User Account Control" dialog box that asks you to allow the app to make changes to your device.
Click "Yes" to continue.
The installation wizard will now appear. Click "Next" to continue.
Read and accept the license agreement by checking the box next to "I accept the agreement." Click "Next" to continue.
Choose the installation location or leave it as the default. Click "Next" to continue.
Choose whether or not to create a desktop shortcut. Click "Next" to continue.
Review your selected options and click "Install" to begin the installation.
Once the installation is complete, click "Finish" to exit the wizard.
Kavita will now launch automatically.
Congratulations! You have successfully installed Kavita on your Windows 11 machine. You can now enjoy reading your favorite ebooks with this lightweight and customizable reader.
