How to Install Klaus on Windows 11

This tutorial will guide you through the process of installing Klaus, a simple, easy-to-set-up Git web viewer, on Windows 11 using Command Prompt. Please follow the steps below.

Prerequisites

Before starting the installation process, make sure that you have the following:

Installation steps

  1. Open Command Prompt by pressing the Win + X key combination and selecting "Command Prompt" from the menu. Alternatively, you can search for "Command Prompt" in the Start menu and click on it.

  2. Clone the Klaus repository to your local machine by running the following command:

git clone https://github.com/jonashaag/klaus.git
  1. Navigate to the Klaus directory by running the following command:
cd klaus
  1. Install the required Python packages by running the following command:
pip install -r requirements.txt
  1. Set up Klaus by running the following command:
python klaus.py init

This command will create a default configuration file config/klaus.conf that you can edit to customize Klaus to your liking.
