Lila is a beautiful and feature-rich chess interface, designed to play on Lichess, an online chess platform. In this tutorial, you will learn how to install Lila on your Windows 11 computer.
Before we begin, ensure that you have the following:
Open your web browser and visit the Lila website.
Click on the "Download for Windows" button.
A pop-up will appear. Click the "Download Lila" button to initiate the download.
Once the download is complete, locate the downloaded Lila Setup file in your Downloads folder.
Double-click on the file to start the Lila installation process.
A User Account Control dialog box will appear. Click on the "Yes" button to proceed.
The Lila installation wizard will launch. Click the "Next" button to proceed.
Accept the license agreement and click the "Next" button.
Choose the installation folder and click the "Next" button.
Choose whether you want to create a desktop shortcut and click the "Next" button.
Click on the "Install" button and wait for the installation process to complete.
Once the installation is complete, click on the "Finish" button.
Launch Lila by double-clicking on the desktop shortcut or by searching for "Lila" in the Start menu.
You will be prompted to sign in to your Lichess account. If you don't have one, create an account on the Lichess website.
Once you sign in, you're all set to use Lila to play chess!
