MediaCMS is an open-source media-centric content management system that allows you to easily create and manage your website's media content. In this tutorial, we will guide you through the process of installing MediaCMS on Windows 11.
Prerequisites
Before installing MediaCMS, you need to fulfill the following prerequisites:
- A web server installed on your Windows 11 machine. You can use XAMPP or WAMP, both of which are open-source software bundles that include Apache, MySQL, and PHP.
- A MySQL database. You can use phpMyAdmin to create a new database for your MediaCMS installation.
Download and Install MediaCMS
- Begin by downloading MediaCMS from the official website at https://mediacms.io/download/.
- Extract the downloaded zip file to a folder in your web server's document root. For example, if you are using XAMPP, you can extract the file to the
htdocs folder.
- Open your web browser and navigate to
http://localhost/your_folder_name. Replace your_folder_name with the name of the folder where you extracted MediaCMS.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation process. You will be prompted to provide your MySQL database credentials and create an admin user account.
- Once the installation process is complete, you can log in to your MediaCMS dashboard by navigating to
http://localhost/your_folder_name/admin.
Congratulations! You have successfully installed MediaCMS on your Windows 11 machine. You can now start creating and managing your website's media content using MediaCMS.
