OMD, or Open Monitoring Distribution, is a free and open-source tool for network and system monitoring. This tutorial will guide you through the installation process of OMD on Windows 11.
Before we begin, please make sure you have the following:
Download OMD for Windows from http://omdistro.org/#download.
Extract the downloaded ZIP file to a directory of your choice.
Navigate to the extracted directory and double-click on "omdistro-start.cmd". This will start the OMdistro console.
In the console, type "omd create" followed by the name of the site you want to create. For example, to create a site named "test", type:
omd create test
Enter a password for the site when prompted.
Wait for the site to be created. This may take a few minutes.
Once the site is created, type "omd start" to start the site.
omd start test
Navigate to http://localhost/test in your web browser to access the OMD web interface. You should now see the OMD dashboard.
Congratulations! You have successfully installed OMD on Windows 11.
