How to Install OrangeHRM on Windows 11

OrangeHRM is a comprehensive human resource management system that enables organizations of any size to manage their employee data, payroll, benefits, and more. In this tutorial, we'll cover how to install OrangeHRM on a Windows 11 computer.

Prerequisites

Before you begin installing OrangeHRM, make sure you have the following prerequisites:

Step 1: Download OrangeHRM

First, go to the OrangeHRM website at https://www.orangehrm.com/ and click on the "Download" button. Then, select the latest version of OrangeHRM that is compatible with your server environment.

Step 2: Extract the OrangeHRM Files

Next, extract the downloaded OrangeHRM ZIP file to a folder on your computer. You can use a tool like WinRAR, 7-Zip, or any other program that supports ZIP files.

Step 3: Copy OrangeHRM Files to Web Server

After extracting the OrangeHRM files, copy the entire "orangehrm-" folder to your web server directory. If you are using XAMPP, the web server directory is located in the "htdocs" folder of the XAMPP installation directory. If you are using WAMP, the web server directory is located in the "www" folder of the WAMP installation directory.

Step 4: Create an OrangeHRM Database

Step 6: Access OrangeHRM

Once the installation is completed, you can access the OrangeHRM login page by typing "http://localhost/orangehrm-/symfony/web/index.php/auth/login" in your web browser.

Enter your admin username and password, and click the "Login" button to access the OrangeHRM dashboard.
