Shopware Community Edition is an open-source eCommerce platform that enables businesses to create and manage online stores. In this tutorial, we will guide you through the process of installing Shopware Community Edition on Windows 11.
Before we proceed, make sure your system meets the following prerequisites:
Visit the official website of Shopware Community Edition at https://www.shopware.com/community/ and click on the "Download" button. Select the latest version of Shopware from the list to download it to your local machine.
Open your XAMPP control panel and start the Apache and MySQL services. Open your web browser and navigate to phpMyAdmin, which can be accessed through the URL http://localhost/phpmyadmin

Create a new database by clicking on the "New" button on the left-hand side, and enter a name for your database in the "Database name" field.
Extract the downloaded Shopware zip file to a new directory on your local machine. Rename the extracted directory to your desired name.
Open a command prompt and navigate to the Shopware directory using the cd
command.
Run the following command to install the dependencies:
composer install
Next, run the following command to start the installation process:
bin/setup
Follow the prompts on the screen to complete the installation process. When prompted for the database credentials, enter the name of the database you created in Step 2, along with the database username and password.
After completing the installation process, start the server by running the following command:
bin/console server:start
Open your web browser and access the Shopware dashboard by entering the URL http://localhost:8000
in the address bar.
Congratulations! You have successfully installed Shopware Community Edition on your Windows 11 machine. You can now start building your online store using Shopware's powerful eCommerce tools.
