Sonarr is a powerful and intuitive application for managing your TV shows. This guide will walk you through the steps to install Sonarr on Windows 11.
To install Sonarr, you will need the following:
Download and install .NET Framework. Sonarr operates on .NET Framework. Follow this link to download the .NET Framework installation package. Double-click the downloaded file to install it on your system.
Download and install Sonarr. Visit sonarr.tv and click on the “Download” button. Choose the Windows Installer and select a version that is compatible with your operating system (32-bit or 64-bit). Double-click the downloaded file to install Sonarr.
Run Sonarr. Once the installation process is complete, open Sonarr by clicking on the Sonarr icon on your desktop or via the Windows Start menu.
Configure Sonarr. To begin using Sonarr, launch your web browser and navigate to http://localhost:8989. This will bring up the Sonarr setup interface where you will be prompted to configure Sonarr. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the setup.
Import TV Shows. After configuring Sonarr, you can start importing your TV shows. Click on the “Add Series” button and search for the TV shows you want to add. Once you have found the shows, click on the “Add” button to import them into Sonarr. You can also use manual import by clicking “Wanted” and drag the downloaded video files to the Sonarr search list.
Downloading TV Shows. Click on any added TV Show in Sonarr, then click the “Search Tab”. Choose the desired release and quality of the show you want to download then click “Download”.
