How to install Tanoshi on Windows 11

Tanoshi is a lightweight, open-source manga reader that supports a variety of formats and sources. Here's how to install it on Windows 11.

Prerequisites

Before we begin, please make sure you have the following installed:

Installation

  1. Open a terminal or command prompt

  2. Clone the Tanoshi repository by typing the following command:

    git clone https://github.com/faldez/tanoshi.git
    

    This will download the entire Tanoshi codebase to your computer.

  3. Navigate to the directory that contains the Tanoshi repository by typing the following command:

    cd tanoshi
    
  4. Install the dependencies by typing the following command:

    npm install
    

    This will download and install all of the necessary dependencies to run Tanoshi.

  5. Build Tanoshi by typing the following command:

    npm run build
    

    This will compile the Tanoshi codebase into executable files.

  6. Start Tanoshi by typing the following command:

    npm run start
    

    This will launch Tanoshi in your default web browser. You can also access it by typing http://localhost:8080 into your address bar.
