Uguu is a file hosting and sharing service that allows users to upload and share files easily. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to install Uguu on Windows 11:
First, go to the Uguu website at https://uguu.se/ and click on the "Download" button.
You will be taken to the Github page for Uguu where you can find the latest release. Scroll down and find the "Uguu-v2.x.x.zip" file and click on it to download.
Once the download is complete, navigate to the folder where the Uguu zip file was downloaded and extract the contents of the zip file.
After extracting the contents of the zip file, open the extracted folder and locate the "config.json.example" file.
Rename "config.json.example" to "config.json", then open the file in a text editor such as Notepad or Notepad++.
Edit the values in the config.json file to suit your preferences, such as setting a custom domain or changing the upload limit. Save the changes and close the file.
In the extracted folder, press and hold the Shift key and right-click on an empty space in the window. Select "Open PowerShell window here" from the drop-down menu.
Type the following command in the PowerShell window: ./uguu-windows
. This will start the Uguu server on your computer.
Open your web browser and navigate to http://localhost:6060/ to access the Uguu web interface.
Congratulations! You have now successfully installed Uguu on Windows 11 and can begin using it to upload and share files.
Note: Keep in mind that Uguu is only intended for personal use and should not be used for malicious purposes. Be sure to read and abide by the Uguu rules and guidelines found on their website.
If you want to self-host in an easy, hands free way, need an external IP address, or simply want your data in your own hands, give IPv6.rs a try!
Alternatively, for the best virtual desktop, try Shells!
