How to Install iRedMail on Windows 11

iRedMail is an open-source email server solution that allows you to host your email server on your own hardware or virtual private server (VPS). In this tutorial, we will guide you on how to install iRedMail on Windows 11.

Step 1 - Downloading iRedMail

The first step is to download the iRedMail installer from their official website. Go to https://www.iredmail.org/download.html and download the latest version of iRedMail for your Windows 11 machine.

Step 2 - Installing iRedMail

  1. Once downloaded, run the iRedMail installer and click on the "Next" button.
  2. On the next screen, you will need to accept the license agreement. Check the box to agree to the terms and click on "Next".
  3. In the next step, select the installation directory for iRedMail. It is recommended to keep the default directory or change it to any other location of your choice. Click on "Next" once you have selected your directory.
  4. The installer will now show you the summary of your installation settings. Verify all the settings and click on "Install" to proceed with the installation process.
  5. The installer will now begin to install iRedMail on your Windows 11 machine. This process may take some time, so be patient until it finishes.
  6. After the installation is complete, the installer will prompt you to reboot your Windows 11 machine. Click on "Finish" and reboot your machine to complete the installation.

Step 3 - Accessing iRedMail

  1. Once your Windows 11 machine restarts, open your preferred web browser.
  2. Type "localhost/iredadmin" in the address bar and hit enter. If you have changed the installation directory, replace "localhost" with the IP address of your machine.
  3. You will now be prompted to enter your iRedMail login credentials. The default username and password are "admin". Enter these credentials to log in.

Congratulations! You have now successfully installed iRedMail on your Windows 11 machine. You can now start hosting your emails using your own email server.
