Tutorial: Installing Wantguns-bin on Windows 11
Wantguns-bin is a binary file available on Github that is designed for Linux-based operating systems. However, it can be installed on Windows 11 using the following steps:
- First, ensure that you have a Windows 11 operating system installed on your computer.
- Install the Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL) if you haven't already done so. This can be done by going to Settings > Apps > Programs and Features > Turn Windows Features on or off, and selecting the checkbox for Windows Subsystem for Linux.
- Once the installation is complete, open the Microsoft Store and search for "Ubuntu" or another Linux distribution of your choice. Install the distribution and launch it.
- Follow the commands for your chosen Linux distribution to install the Git package:
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install git
- Once Git is installed, clone the wantguns-bin repository by running the following command:
git clone https://github.com/wantguns/bin.git
- Navigate to the cloned repository using the terminal by running the following command:
cd bin
- Once you have navigated to the bin folder, you can run the Wantguns-bin binary file using the following command:
./wantguns
- You have successfully installed Wantguns-bin on your Windows 11 computer, and you can now use it as intended.
Note: Keep in mind that Wantguns-bin is designed for Linux systems, so you may experience issues using it on a Windows system.
