xBrowserSync is a cross-platform browser sync application that synchronizes your bookmarks across different browsers and devices. In this tutorial, we will guide you through the process of installing xBrowserSync on Windows 11.
Prerequisites
Before we start with the installation, make sure you have the following prerequisites:
- Windows 11 installed on your computer
- A compatible web browser such as Chrome, Firefox, or Edge
- Administrative privileges on your user account
Installation Steps
- Visit the xBrowserSync website and click the "Download" button.
- Select the Windows version you want to download and click the "Download" button again.
- Once the download is complete, open the downloaded file by double-clicking it.
- The xBrowserSync installer will open. Read the license agreement, tick the "I agree to the terms" checkbox, and click the "Next" button.
- Choose the installation location and click the "Next" button.
- If you want to create a desktop shortcut for xBrowserSync, tick the "Create a desktop shortcut" checkbox and click the "Next" button.
- Click the "Install" button to begin the installation process.
- Wait for the installation to complete. This may take a few minutes depending on your computer's speed.
- Once the installation is complete, the xBrowserSync setup will display a message saying "Installation successful". Click the "Finish" button.
Configuring xBrowserSync
- Launch your web browser and visit https://app.xbrowsersync.org.
- Click the "Create Account" button to create a new account. If you already have an account, log in using your credentials.
- Once you're logged in, click the "Generate Code" button to generate a unique code to link your browser to your xBrowserSync account.
- Copy the code to your clipboard.
- Launch xBrowserSync by clicking its shortcut on your desktop or searching for it in the Start menu.
- Paste the code from your clipboard into the "Enter code" field and click the "Submit" button.
- Your bookmarks should now be synchronized across your browsers and devices.
