How to Install Bicimon on macOS

Bicimon is a command line interface tool for monitoring your bicycle's performance using a Bluetooth bike power meter. This tutorial will guide you through the steps of installing the tool on macOS.

Prerequisites

Installation Steps

  1. Open Terminal by pressing cmd + space and typing "Terminal" into the search bar.
  2. Clone the Bicimon repository by entering git clone https://github.com/knrdl/bicimon.git in Terminal.
  3. Navigate to the cloned repository in Terminal by entering cd bicimon.
  4. Install the necessary dependencies using Homebrew by entering brew install cmake boost.
  5. Create a build directory by entering mkdir build and navigate to it by entering cd build.
  6. Generate the build files using cmake by entering cmake ...
  7. Build the project by entering make.
  8. Install Bicimon by entering sudo make install.

Usage

  1. Connect your Bluetooth bike power meter to your machine.
  2. Open Terminal and enter bicimon.
  3. Bicimon will start running and displaying performance data from your power meter.
