How to Install BigTree CMS on macOS

Prerequisites

Step 1: Download the BigTree CMS archive

The first step is to download the BigTree CMS archive on your macOS. Navigate to https://www.bigtreecms.org/download/ and click on the "Download" button. Choose the latest version of BigTree CMS that is compatible with your macOS.

Step 2: Extract the archive

Once you have downloaded the archive, you need to extract it to a folder. Open your Finder and navigate to the downloaded archive file. Right-click on the file and select "Extract Here." This will create a new folder with the extracted contents.

Step 3: Move the contents to the htdocs folder

Open your browser and navigate to http://localhost/{name of the directory where you installed BigTree CMS}/install/. Follow the steps to complete the installation process. Enter your MySQL credentials when prompted. Use the database name "bigtreecms" that you created in step 5.

Step 7: Finalize the installation

Once the installation is complete, you should see a message that says "Installation Complete." Click on "Visit Site" to see your BigTree CMS instance in action.
