How to Install BounCA on macOS

BounCA is a tool for managing digital certificates. Here's how to install it on macOS:

1. Open the Terminal application on your macOS computer.

2. Install Homebrew, a package manager for macOS, by running the following command in the terminal:

   /bin/bash -c "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Homebrew/install/HEAD/install.sh)"
   

3. Install the required dependencies for BounCA using Homebrew. Run the following command:

   brew install make automake autoconf libtool openssl curl
   

4. Download the BounCA source code from the official website: https://bounca.org/download/bounca-x.y.z.tar.gz. Replace "x.y.z" with the version number you want.

5. Extract the downloaded source code in a directory of your choice.

6. In the terminal, navigate to the extracted directory using the cd command:

   cd /path/to/extracted/directory/
   

7. Compile and install BounCA using the following commands:

   ./configure --with-libcurl=/usr/local/opt/curl --with-openssl=/usr/local/opt/openssl
   make
   sudo make install
   

   Note: If you receive an error message regarding Curl or OpenSSL, make sure you have installed them correctly using Homebrew.

8. BounCA is now installed on your macOS computer. You can verify the installation by running the bounca command in the terminal:

   bounca -h
   

   This should display the BounCA help menu.
