Requirements
- A macOS computer with at least 8GB of available storage and 2GB of RAM
- A copy of CasaOS image file from the official website
- SD card of at least 16GB in size
- Raspberry Pi Imager app (Downloaded from https://www.raspberrypi.org/software/)
- An SD card reader
Procedure
- Download the latest version of CasaOS from the official website.
- Download and install the Raspberry Pi Imager on your macOS computer.
- Check that your SD card is inserted into your SD card reader and connect it to your macOS computer.
- Open the Raspberry Pi Imager app and select "Choose OS."
- Select "Use Custom" and then select the CasaOS image file you downloaded in step 1.
- Make sure the correct Target SD card is selected then click "Write." If you are prompted to provide an administrator password, enter your macOS computer's administrator password.
- Wait for the Raspberry Pi Imager app to complete the writing process. This may take several minutes depending on your computer's processing power and the speed of your SD card.
- Once the writing process is complete, eject the SD card from your SD card reader and insert it into your Raspberry Pi.
- Connect the Raspberry Pi to a power source and turn it on.
- CasaOS will now boot up and is ready to use.
