How to Install Ergo on macOS

Steps to Install Ergo

  1. Open the Ergo website by visiting https://ergo.chat/.
  2. Click on the "Download for macOS" button located on the homepage.
  3. Once you click on the button, the installer file will start downloading automatically. The installer file consists of a .dmg file.
  4. Open the downloaded .dmg file by double-clicking on it. You will see the Ergo installer package inside the .dmg.
  5. Drag the Ergo icon to the Applications folder icon located on the right-hand side panel of the window that appears.
  6. After moving the Ergo icon to the Applications folder, double-click on the Ergo icon to open the application.
  7. If your macOS version is 10.13 or later, it may block the launch of Ergo. To launch Ergo, go to System Preferences > Security & Privacy and click on the "Open Anyway" button next to the message "Ergo was blocked from use because it is not from an identified developer".
  8. Once you click on "Open Anyway", Ergo will launch, and you will need to log in using your credentials.
  9. Once you have logged in, you can start using Ergo to chat with your contacts.
