How to Install Grist on macOS

Grist is a versatile spreadsheet software that helps you organize data in a visually appealing and efficient manner. In this tutorial, we will guide you through the process of installing Grist on macOS.

Prerequisites

Before we get started with the installation process, make sure that your macOS meets the following prerequisites:

Steps

  1. Open your web browser and head to the Grist website: https://getgrist.com/

  2. Click on the "Get started for free" button at the top right corner of the page.

  3. Create a new Grist account or sign in with your Google or Microsoft account.

  4. Once you have logged in, you will be prompted to create a new workspace. Give your workspace a name and click on the "Create workspace" button.

  5. Grist will then take you to the workspace dashboard. Click on the "Install" button located at the top right corner of the dashboard.

  6. From the installation page, you can choose to install Grist on macOS or Windows. Since we are installing Grist on macOS, click on the "Download for macOS" button.

  7. A pop-up window will appear asking you to confirm the download. Click on the "Download" button to begin the download process.

  8. Once the download is complete, navigate to your Downloads folder and double-click on the "Grist.dmg" file.

  9. This will open an installation window. Follow the instructions on the screen to install Grist on your macOS computer.

  10. Once the installation is complete, open the Grist application and log in using your Grist, Google or Microsoft account credentials.
