How to install IceHrm on macOS

IceHrm is an open-source HR software that enables businesses to manage their employees, attendances, leave requests, and more. This tutorial will guide you through the process of installing IceHrm on macOS.

Prerequisites

Step 1: Download IceHrm

Visit https://icehrm.com/ and click on the "Download" button. Choose the "IceHrm Self-Hosted" option and download the latest version of IceHrm.

Step 2: Extract the files

Extract the downloaded file and move the "icehrm" folder to your web server's root directory. For example, on macOS, the Apache root directory is located at /Library/WebServer/Documents/.

Step 3: Configure IceHrm

Open the config.php file located in the icehrm folder and configure the parameters according to your needs.

Step 4: Create a database

Create a new MySQL database using your preferred tool (such as phpMyAdmin or MySQL Workbench).

Step 5: Import the database schema

Import the schema.sql file located in the icehrm folder to your newly created database.

Step 6: Test your installation

Open your web browser and navigate to http://localhost/icehrm. You should see the IceHrm login page. Use the default username admin and password admin to log in.
