Markdown Edit is a free and open-source application that allows you to edit and preview Markdown files. In this tutorial, we will show you how to install Markdown Edit on macOS.
Before installing Markdown Edit, ensure that you have the following:
Open your web browser and go to the GitHub repository for Markdown Edit here.
Click on the "Clone or download" button and select "Download ZIP".
Extract the downloaded ZIP file to a directory of your choice.
Open the extracted directory.
Double-click on the "MarkdownEdit.app" file.
If you see a warning that the app can't be opened because it is from an unidentified developer, right-click on the app and select "Open".
When prompted, click "Open" again to confirm that the application should be opened.
