OrangeHRM is an open-source human resource management system. It can provide the tools you need to manage employee data, leave and attendance, and more. In this tutorial, we will cover the steps to install OrangeHRM on macOS.
Prerequisites
First, you need to make sure that your system meets the following requirements:
- macOS 10.9 or later
- At least 2GB of RAM
- At least 20GB of hard disk space
Steps to Install OrangeHRM on macOS
- Download the latest version of OrangeHRM from the website https://www.orangehrm.com/download/.
- Open the Downloads folder and double-click the downloaded file.
- The installation wizard will open. Click on "Continue" to proceed.
- You will see the license agreement. Scroll down to read it and click "Continue" if you agree to the terms.
- Select the destination location where you want to install OrangeHRM. You can leave this as the default and click "Continue."
- Click "Install" to begin the installation process.
- Enter your macOS administrative credentials to authorize the installation and click "Install Software."
- The installation process may take some time to complete. Once it’s done, click "Close" on the installation window.
Starting OrangeHRM
OrangeHRM should now be installed on your macOS system. To start the application, follow these steps:
- Open your web browser and type in the URL
http://localhost/orangehrm
.
- You will see the login page. Enter the username and password provided during the installation process.
- Click "Login" to access the OrangeHRM dashboard.
Congratulations! You have successfully installed and accessed OrangeHRM on your macOS system. You can now use OrangeHRM to manage your employee's HR data.
