Photonix is a photo management and sharing web application that allows you to securely store, organize, and share your photos online. This tutorial will guide you through the process of installing Photonix on macOS.
Before you begin, ensure that you have the following:
macOS operating system
A web browser, such as Safari or Chrome
Node.js and npm (Node Package Manager) installed on your system. If you do not have npm installed, you can follow these steps to download and install Node.js:
Open your web browser and go to the Photonix website at https://photonix.org/.
Click on the "Download" button on the homepage to download the latest version of the Photonix application for macOS.
Once the download is complete, navigate to the location of the downloaded file in Finder.
Double-click on the downloaded file to extract the contents of the archive.
Open the Terminal application on your macOS system.
Navigate to the location where you extracted the Photonix archive using the following command:
cd /path/to/extracted/folder/
Run the following command to install the necessary dependencies:
npm install
This will install all the required dependencies necessary to run Photonix.
Once the installation is complete, run the following command to start the Photonix application:
npm start
Open your web browser and visit http://localhost:3000 to access the Photonix application.
