Installation of QloApps on macOS

In this tutorial, we will guide you through the process of installing QloApps on macOS. QloApps is an open-source hotel and booking management software, which can be downloaded from the official website https://qloapps.com/.

Prerequisites

  1. macOS
  2. XAMPP

Installing XAMPP on macOS

  1. Visit the official Apache Friends website at https://www.apachefriends.org/index.html
  2. Click on the Download button for XAMPP for macOS.
  3. Open the downloaded .dmg file to start the installation.
  4. Follow the installation wizard, and agree to the terms of service to complete the installation process.

Installing QloApps

  1. Download QloApps from the official website https://qloapps.com/download/
  2. Extract the QloApps zip file downloaded in step 1 to the htdocs folder in the XAMPP installation folder. (i.e /Applications/XAMPP/htdocs/qloapps/).
  3. Rename the extracted folder to qloapps so that the website can be accessed by going to http://localhost/qloapps in your browser.
  4. Open the XAMPP control panel and start the Apache server and MySQL.
  5. Open a web browser and go to http://localhost/phpmyadmin.
  6. Create a new database for QloApps by clicking on the New button on the left sidebar, and giving it a name such as qloapps_db.
  7. Click on the newly created database name from the left sidebar and click on Import.
  8. Click on Choose file and navigate to the directory where you have extracted the QloApps zip file.
  9. Select the qloapps_db.sql file from the directory and click on Go to import the database.
  10. Open http://localhost/qloapps in your web browser to start the installation process of QloApps and follow the steps.
  11. Once the installation process is complete, you can start using QloApps as your hotel and booking management software.
