How to Install SickChill on macOS

In this tutorial, we will be guiding you through the process of installing SickChill on macOS.

Prerequisites

Before getting started, make sure you have the following:

Installing SickChill

Follow the steps below to install SickChill on your macOS computer:

  1. Open Terminal on your Mac. You can do this by searching for it in Spotlight or navigating to Applications > Utilities > Terminal.

  2. Type the following command to install Homebrew:

/usr/bin/ruby -e "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Homebrew/install/master/install)"
  1. Once Homebrew is successfully installed, run this command to update it:
brew update
  1. After updating Homebrew, run the following command to install Python:
brew install python
  1. Next, install git by running:
brew install git
  1. Clone the SickChill repository by running this command:
git clone https://github.com/SickChill/SickChill.git
  1. Navigate to the SickChill directory by running:
cd ./SickChill
  1. Run SickChill using the following command:
python SickBeard.py
  1. The first time you launch SickChill, you will be prompted to configure it. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup.

  2. Once configured, SickChill will be ready to use. You can access it by opening your web browser and navigating to http://localhost:8081.
