How to Install Speed Test by OpenSpeedTest™ on macOS

OpenSpeedTest™ is a free web-based tool to check your Internet connection’s speed. If you want to use OpenSpeedTest™ as a standalone application on your macOS, follow the instructions below:

Step 1: Download and Install Homebrew

Homebrew is a package manager for macOS that makes it easy to install software. If you don't have Homebrew installed on your computer, follow the instructions at https://brew.sh/ to install it.

Step 2: Install Fluid

Fluid is a software that turns any website into a standalone application. Open your terminal and type the following command to install it using Homebrew:

brew cask install fluid

Step 3: Create a New Fluid Application

  1. Open Fluid application on your Mac.
  2. In the "Create New Fluid App" window that appears, enter the following:

Step 4: Run the OpenSpeedTest™ Application

  1. Locate the OpenSpeedTest™ application created in Step 3 and open it.
