Installing MedusaJs on NixOS

  1. First, ensure that your NixOS system is up-to-date by running the following command in your terminal:
sudo nix-channel --update && sudo nixos-rebuild switch
  1. Open your terminal and navigate to the directory where you want to install MedusaJs.

  2. Clone the MedusaJs repository by running the following command:

git clone https://github.com/medusajs/medusa.git
  1. Navigate to the cloned repository by running the following command:
cd medusa
  1. Next, run the following command to install MedusaJs:
nix-env -iA nixpkgs.medusajs
  1. Once the installation is complete, you can verify that MedusaJS is installed by running the following command:
medusa --version

This command should output the version number of the installed package.

Congratulations! You have successfully installed MedusaJs on your NixOS system. You can now proceed to use it in your projects.
